“ Oak Longbar saved my Thanksgiving! On a visit to Boston, we were left with no real options for a Thanksgiving dinner, but with only a few hours notice, Oak Longbar was able to fit us in for dinner. We arrived on time, and were seated promptly. The dining room is a large, very impressive space, with huge, arched ceilings, and beautiful gold fixtures, all around. To drink I ordered a Penny Dropped, and we ordered the hearth bread to start. It was unbelievably good, and hit the spot, on that cold and rainy night. For my Thanksgiving dinner, I ordered the fried turkey, with a stuffing waffle. It was better than I ever could have expected. The turkey was so moist and had great texture with the crispy skin outside. The stuffing waffle with the cranberry sauce was such a delight to accompany the turkey. It was incredibly busy, but we were never waiting too long for anything , our waiter was always able to check in on us. ”

“ We stayed at the Fairmont Copley Plaza for a week and indulged in their daily breakfast. Service was typically fantastic and there isn't a wait for tables on weekdays. Reservations are recommended for weekends brunch can get super busy. As other reviewers have noted, the low tables are more conducive to bar bites rather than a formal breakfast. Espresso based drinks are made from a Nespresso machine. Food is pretty good and here is what we ordered: - American breakfast: hearty, but skip the scrambled eggs if you don't like it hard scrambled as they can be a tad dry. Sunny side was fine - Lobster Benedict: healthy servings of vinegared lobster with jammy eggs and hollandaise. The English muffin was superb - dense and crunchy from the butter grill - Corned beef hash: hearty breakfast - Crab and avocado toast: healthy serving of crab with avo toast ”

“ Excellent breakfast!!! Their breakfast is on point!! I ordered the corn beef hash and it's by far the best I have tried this trip and I tried it several times at different establishments this go around. It came in a skillet, topped with two soft poached eggs (my favorite) and hollandaise sauce. I got an extra side of hollandaise sauce. It's also served with a side of toast, I got sourdough. Phenomenal! Enjoyed every bite of this meal. Only downside is getting seated at the low round white cocktail tables. Those tables arent really meant to eat off of as they sit so low relative to the seat. Maybe don't sit people there for breakfast. These tables and seats are made for sitting and having a few drinks, not having a sit down meal. Service was welcoming, efficient and attentive. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast! I'm sure it's a kool spot for dinner and drinks in the evening as well ”

“ It was a good place to have a drink after hours or a good place to grab a nosh light cocktails. You'll find a lot of visitors here And business people closing deals over an espresso martini. I enjoy this historical ambience. It's bougie and has always been the Oak bar for me, but since it's now the Oak and Long Bar... that's exactly what it is, long bar. Surprisingly, the spires so pizza is pretty good there. Fresh. Come here if you wanna impress a date or a business person. ”
